Happy mother, successful in her profession, passionate rower she is, says Julia (Judith Hofmann), when she imagines Elias (Michel Voïta). But that's no longer true. Her husband Robert (Beat Marti) has just lost his job with an international financial group. As a team leader at the social welfare office in Biel, Julia has to look after more and more outsourced employees, her mother (Sibylle Brunner) enters the final phase of her life and

her two children no longer feel a trace.

When Elias fishes Julia out of the water, she just capsized while rowing. The likeable man seems to live in the harbour on his boat and to be satisfied. Julia is fascinated. More and more often she seeks his nearness. But Elias has a secret. Julia is dying to find out his story.
